Blake Bjorklund is one of the most promising young racecar drivers. This rising athlete is a bright and determined individual with unlimited potential. Blake, son of Craig and Diane Bjorklund, grew up in Isanti, Minnesota, a small community north of the Twin Cities. Bjorklund has done a variety of things throughout his life, yet nothing satisfied him more than racing. He has raced snowmobile radar runs, snocross, and cars. Blake has found success in each of these things, yet his passion clearly lies in car racing.

At age fifteen, he began his car racing career in the Three-Quarter Scale (TQS) Late Model Series. Bjorklund took home Rookie of the Year honors in 2001. In 2002, Blake was the TQS Late Model Points Champion and captured eight feature wins. In 2003, Blake moved in to a Late Model. He raced at I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre, MN as well as the sister track in Fergus Falls, MN. He gained instant attention as he won his third and fourth race. By the end of the year, Blake had attained the Rookie of the Year title at both tracks as well as a few feature wins.

Bjorklund took on the challenge of the Yellow Book Midwest AllStar Racing Series (MARS) in 2004. He snagged eight feature wins as well as the prestigious Rookie of the Year honors. In addition, Bjorklund was the Youngest Driver and the First Minnesota Driver to win a MARS race. After exceeding his goals and with the MARS season complete, Bjorklund turned his attention to the remaining American Speed Association (ASA) races. With only two ASA starts, Blake had an impressive twelfth place finish.

In 2006, Blake ran the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Bjorklund scored his first win at Salem Speedway in September when he passed Series Champion Frank Kimmel with less than two laps remaining. With just 21 starts this season, Bjorklund obtained one win, six top-fives, and 10 top-10 finishes. Bjorklund’s accomplishments do not end there. Bjorklund was also awarded the Bill France Triple Crown, a three-race series including Toledo Speedway, DuQuoin State Fairground’s mile-dirt and Chicagoland. Bjorklund is only the third rookie in the history of the award to achieve this.

Last year, Bjorklund signed a deal with HAAS-CNC Racing to compete in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series. He had 15 Truck starts with 6 top 20 finishes, 1 top 15 finish and three NASCAR Nationwide Series starts.
